Vendor Performance Program

The University of Minnesota Vendor Performance Program strives to resolve vendor performance issues, as well as recognize outstanding vendor performances. Scroll down for more information about the different parts to the Vendor Performance Program.

Outstanding Performance

If a vendor has performed in an outstanding fashion, that is, performed beyond the contractual agreement, and you would like that vendor's performance recognized, send a memo to the email below.

Performance Problems

If a University department is having a problem in the area of vendor performance, and have not been able to resolve that problem, the appropriate buyer should be contacted.

The buyer and the department will work together to resolve the problem. If the problem persists Purchasing will, upon evaluation of the validity of the problem, notify the vendor in writing.

The vendor will have 4 business days to respond with a satisfactory solution.

If the response is not satisfactory, certain conditions may be placed on the vendor. These conditions will usually spell out a specific time in which the problem must be solved or the vendor will be suspended for a certain period of time from doing business at the University.
