CPS Attachment: Travel Reimbursement for Contractors

This is an OPTIONAL tool intended as a guideline to help departments incorporate language into the contract that will establish limits on travel expenses reimbursed to contractors, especially to out of town contractors performing lengthy projects on-site at the University. Departments are encouraged to add this attachment to their RFP and/or CPS. The language may be incorporated into a final contract, whether or not the contractor is selected through the RFP process. Language on travel expense reimbursements are negotiable with the contractor, so the language in this attachment may be changed to be more or less stringent.

Amending Contracts For Professional Services

Occasionally, department may find it necessary to make a change or extend an existing Contract for Professional Services (CPS).

Any changes in a CPS that require documentation should be done on a Contract for Professional Services Amendment. Departments should be aware that completing a new CPS rather than amending a standing contract is incorrect, and that this practice was a significant finding in the 1998 Internal Audit. For clarifications on why an Amendment should be used or for information on how to fill out a Amendment form, please view the Purchasing Services CPS Amendment Reference Guide (MS Word).
