Below is a list of databases that are helpful when searching for a vendor.
 
Central Contractor Registration (CCR)

CCR is an electronic gateway of information for, and about, small businesses.

The CCR program is a cooperative effort of 8 different U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) departments.

Federal Debarred Vendors (ELPS)

The Excluded Parties List System (ELPS), is the electronic version of the Lists of Parties Excluded from Federal Procurement and Nonprocurement Programs (Lists), which identifies those parties excluded throughout the U.S. Government (unless otherwise noted) from receiving Federal contracts or certain subcontracts and from certain types of Federal financial and non-financial assistance and benefits. Departments should NOT purchase from debarred vendors.

State of Minnesota - Targeted Business Groups (TGB)

The Minnesota Materials Management Division maintains a list of Minnesota-based minority, woman and disabled-owned small businesses, and small businesses in Economically Disadvantaged Counties in Minnesota. Departments are encouraged to search the database and select vendors from it.

U of M Business Directory for the Central Certification (CERT) Program

The CERT Directory is a listing of all businesses currently certified collaboratively by the five member jurisdictions of the CERT Program: Hennepin County, City of Minneapolis, Ramsey County, City of St. Paul, and St. Paul Public Schools. New businesses are certified into the Program on a regular basis.

The CERT Program’s ultimate goal is to make it easier for businesses to participate in the business opportunities of the participating jurisdictions and the local marketplace. By so doing, the CERT Program seeks to promote market growth, increase competitiveness, and create jobs among participating businesses, as well as to improve the quality of life for area residents. The CERT Directory is only available in .pdf format and consiquently it is quite large (795KB).

U-Wide Contracts and Contractor Listing

U-Wide contracts are contracts with vendors for goods and services that are available to all University departments. U-Wide contracts and a U-Wide contract vendor list are available for searching / viewing through the link below.
